The Portage Community School District's Physical Education Department is committed to providing a variety of activities with an abundance of opportunities that set our students up for success both in and out of the classroom. Physical education at Bartels Middle School is an explore class that runs for the entire school year and meets every other day (A/B schedule) for all students. We will be engaged in an array of activities learning about personal health, teamwork, communication, sport specific skills, and sport rules/strategies. Physical activity is critical to the development and maintenance of good health. The goal of physical education is to develop physically educated individuals who have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to enjoy a lifetime of healthful physical activity.

Each assessment consists of ten questions and a study guide is provided for students to use while taking the assessment. Assessments count for 15% of students' overall grade. Each assessment will be open for one week for students to complete.

PE PHOTS AND VIDEOS

STUDY GUIDES

Each unit that has an online assessment will have a study guide that correlates with it. Students are encouraged to use the study guide to help with the online assessments. All answers on the assessments have been covered either in class discussions, the study guide, or both.
